The clinic directory built for the people actually trying to get into treatment
Most directories list every facility that has ever existed and call it a day. We don't. Every methadone clinic on this site is currently SAMHSA-certified through the CMS Medicare Provider list. Every record carries an NPI, an address, and a phone we can point to. If a record can't clear those bars, it doesn't ship.
Where to start
If you know the medication, start here:
- Methadone clinics: daily-dosed opioid agonist for opioid use disorder, dispensed at SAMHSA-certified opioid treatment programs (OTPs).
- Suboxone (buprenorphine) providers: partial opioid agonist, prescribed in office-based settings.
- Detox: short-term medical withdrawal. Different from long-term medication-assisted treatment.
Priority state coverage
We launched with eight states because depth beats breadth. Each priority state has state-authority context, county-level coverage data, a transparent State Access Score, and full city pages.
| State | Methadone OTPs | Buprenorphine providers | Access Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| California | 140 | 4,814 | 58.3 (C) |
| Florida | 70 | 1,879 | 47.7 (D) |
| Massachusetts | 50 | 530 | 65.7 (C) |
| New York | 101 | 1,063 | 44.8 (D) |
| Ohio | 85 | 1,086 | 70.3 (B) |
| Pennsylvania | 65 | 838 | 61.3 (C) |
| Tennessee | 22 | 431 | 36 (F) |
| Texas | 62 | 907 | 36.7 (F) |
Treatment Directory
Our directory covers every state in the country across four treatment paths. Pick the medication or service you need, then find a state to drill into city-level providers, costs, and what to ask before you call.

How this site is built
Every clinic record is anchored to two government datasets. The CMS Medicare Provider Opioid Treatment Program file gives us the SAMHSA-certified methadone list. The NPPES NPI registry gives us active addiction medicine providers. We cross-validate against SAMHSA FindTreatment for service detail and lat/lng. Coverage and policy context comes from KFF, MACPAC, PDAPS, CDC WONDER, Census ACS, and HRSA.
No record is published without an active phone in at least one source. No legacy detox URL is preserved if it produced zero search traffic over the last 16 months. Every claim that involves a number on this site is backed by a citation in our methodology page.
If you or someone you love is in crisis: call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), or call SAMHSA at 1-800-662-HELP (4357) for treatment referrals.
